

The author did not stay true to Jeremy's character. He "changed." For that matter, Eliza "changed." They both "changed" on this adventure and "neither one of them will ever be the same again." There were two main problems as I see it, both with the romantic plot:1.

more ore.The trouble is that I didn't really get to read about Jeremy at all. And I did kind of like to see Jeremy get a book I kind of liked him from bef. I'm being a little harsh in my rating - it was a fun adventure with lots of chases through the wilds of Scotland. Now he's 37, has "filled out" in the chest (Ahem - every man I've met who has filled out in his thirties has done it in the gut, but who am I to judge?) and is ready to discover the unsuspected warrior locked within.

Luckily, she manages to catch the attention of Jeremy Chatling, who fans of Laurens may recognize from one of the Bastion Club novels - he's the scholarly brother in the very first book of that series. Review 1: In this second volume of the Cynster Sisters Trilogy, Eliza is kidnapped by the same Scottish Laird who took her sister in the first book.
